In 2004, while stationed at overseas on Embassy duty, I stumbled upon CrossFit while searching for workout ideas. At this point, I was only “dabbling” in a few CrossFit workouts. In 2005, inspired by a few other Marines in my detachment, while at an embassy in Pakistan, I decided to make CrossFit my training program.

Mark has always enjoyed an active lifestyle.  CrossFit provides the ability to stay fit for almost any activity that the heart desires in or outside the gym.  Mark enjoys spending time with his family, being active and making memories.  As a coach, it is always rewarding to see the progress athletes of the gym make. Helping athletes improve their range of motion, strength and overall fitness is quite awesome to see.

I got into CrossFit through my old sport of cheerleading. One of my teammates’ father trains at Carlsbad CrossFit and invited me to come with him. And after one WOD I was obsessed. Once I got more involved in the CrossFit world, I knew I wanted to coach. Carlsbad CrossFit has been the most nurturing and motivating environment for my CrossFit career and I could never imagine going anywhere else.

Lindsay started CrossFit in the fall of 2009.  I didn’t have a strong athletic background, but I wanted to find a sustainable program that would keep me fit for life. I tried a number of types of workouts, but when I tried CrossFit I knew I had found the one for me. Over the past 15 years I have grown into an avid CrossFit coach with a strong desire to lift others into gaining all the benefits CrossFit delivers just as I have.

Kim

Kim is an experienced Fitness Professional and owner of Deliberate Movement in Oceanside, California. Kim’s passion lies in helping individuals to strive for their physical potential. Her approach relies heavily on the implementation of restorative measures and the preservation of movement. She uses tools from physical therapy, gymnastics, yoga, and any other movement specialty that might help improve fitness, strength, or recovery.
