Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background. (Where did you grow up, where do you work, Family,etc.)

I grew up in Brazil. My life is traveling, learning new cultures, and sharing positive attitudes. My first language is Portuguese but also I speak French, Spanish, and English. I moved to San Diego in 2016 because of my career. I have a master degree in exercise physiology and specialist in spinal cord injury recovery. I work for one of the best paralysis recovery centers in the world.

What hobbies do you enjoy outside of the gym?

I’m addicted to board sports. My favorite is wakeboard. But as a good Brazilian I also play soccer.

What did you first expect when you joined CrossFit?

To be fit and improve my performance wakeboarding.

What are some of the things you are most proud of accomplishing in and out of the gym?

In the gym to be able to do Double Unders, Muscle Ups, and learn lifting techniques. Out of the gym I would say to work with what I love!

What has been the hardest part of joining CrossFit? Most rewarding?

The day after is always painful! But as soon as you see the results on your body you forget about that pain and move forward to the next challenge.

What are some of your goals, personal and fitness, for the future?

I want to keep helping people and travel all over the world. Fitness goals is to have a perfect lifting technique, specifically with snatches and thrusters.

What is your favorite workout?

Murph or anything with Muscle Ups.

How has CrossFit benefited your life beyond fitness and the gym?

I love the Vista CrossFit community. It’s always a great atmosphere and a pleasure to learn with awesome coaches. Everyone is constantly inspires me to achieve my goals.

What made you decide you wanted/needed to start CrossFit?

I wanted to try something new. Lifting weights at a globo gym was very boring and I needed one extra “push”.

What results have you achieved since joining our gym?

I’ve gained muscles and reduced my percentage of body fat, which was already low.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our gym?

I would say, if you like challenges, this is for you!
